‘Shot yaar’: Watch Suryakumar Yadav appreciate Ishan Kishan’s innovative hits in MI nets

Suryakumar Yadav made his much-awaited comeback to cricket on Sunday at the Wankhede Stadium against the Delhi Capitals. However, the batter could not get on the scoresheet.

When world’s no 1 T20 batter Suryakumar Yadav gets wowed by shots played by a cricketer, the player has to be special. That is exactly what happened at the Mumbai Indians nets on Wednesday when Ishan Kishan was batting. Suryakumar, watch on, couldn’t help but admire some of the shots Ishan Kishan played.

Suryakumar Yadav made his much-awaited comeback to cricket on Sunday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, against the Delhi Capitals. However, even though Mumbai Indians won the game by 29 runs, Suryakumar fell for a two-ball duck.

Without a doubt, Suryakumar is a top player, particularly in the game’s shortest format. With a matchup against Royal Challengers Bengaluru approaching soon, the daring batsman will be hoping to redeem himself and get back to his previous form.

MI cricketers have been working hard in the team nets ahead of the MI vs RCB match on Thursday. The team’s official X handle posted a video of Suryakumar expressing his genuine gratitude for teammate Ishan Kishan’s shot.

The video first has Suryakumar exclaiming, “Shot yaar!” at the sound of the first shot. “Shot!” Suryakumar exclaims again at the sound of the second shot.

The footage then reveals that MI opener Ishan Kishan was the one who hit the shots. First, there’s a switch-hit to third man, and then there’s a huge pull to fine-leg in the second shot.
