A minor fire broke out at a luxury hotel in Hyderabad’s upscale Banjara Hills area, where the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) team was staying, according to fire department and police officials. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and the situation was swiftly brought under control.
“It was a minor fire, and a fire engine was rushed to the spot, and the fire was brought under control quickly,” a police official at Banjara Hills Police Station said.

The fire originated in the steam room of the hotel’s spa on the first floor, likely caused by a short circuit, which resulted in smoke spreading through the area. A fire department official confirmed that the spa was unoccupied at the time of the incident.
Additionally, officials noted that some SRH players, who were accommodated in a separate tower of the hotel, were not present on the premises when the fire occurred, while other players who were at the hotel later checked out.
