Shivam Dube all but seals T20 World Cup squad with second fastest fifty of IPL 2024

CSK vs GT: Shivam Dube hammers blistering fifty to all but seal spot in India squad for ICC T20 World Cup

Talk about leaving a mark in the game. Shivam Dube blasted his way to slam the second fastest fifty of IPL 2024 in the CSK vs GT clash. It took him just 22 balls to reach his half century. And with his blistering batting style, he has more-or-less sealed his spot in the India squad for the T20 World Cup.

Shivam Dube unleashed carnage on Gujarat Titans. He continued the charge which was previously lead by Rachin Ravindra and Ruturaj Gaikwad. Dube didn’t take a ball to settle and went on the rampage from the first ball. He hammered back to back sixes on his opening balls against Sai Kishore to make his intentions clear from the start.

The destructive southpaw had a short stay in the crease. But even in his short stay, the damage was done for the visitors. Dube slammed 2 fours and 5 sixes to help his side get ready to pile up a massive total on the board.

India Cricket Team head coach Rahul Dravid and the selectors will be keeping a close eye on the Dube. India desperately needs a hard hitting batting all-rounder. And Shivam Dube perfectly fits the bill. Not only can be bat, he is an equally brilliant pacer.
