Shikhar Dhawan Comeback: Will Dhawan be given another chance?
Currently, it seems highly unlikely as Gill has sealed the spot as the opener in the ODI team by becoming the quickest Indian to score 1000 runs. The right-hand batter is also striking runs at a better strike rate than Dhawan and is converting starts into a big scores. Dhawan also does not have age by his side as he is 38. For now, the comeback in the ODI team seems highly unlikely unless a few senior players opt for rest from the ODI series. The selectors are also keen to give youngsters a chance, which makes Dhawan’s comeback a distant dream for now.
