Shikhar Dhawan has shone brightly in the ongoing DY Patil T20 Tournament. Snubbed from the BCCI Central Contracts, Dhawan has turned his attention to IPL 2024. As a dress rehearsal for Indian Premier League, the destructive southpaw hammered an unbeaten 99 in the T20 preparatory tournament.
No longer in contention for the Indian Cricket Team, the former opener decided to fire on all cylinders in the DY Patil T20 Cup. Other players too like Hardik Pandya, Ishan Kishan have taken part in the tournament to prepare for IPL 2024.
Punjab Kings will be aiming to put up a good show. And PBKS are banking on their skipper and star batter Shikhar Dhawan to lead the charge.
With no India Cricket Team duties, it is imperative Shikhar Dhawan prepares and gets ready for IPL 2024. Dhawan took just 51 deliveries to reach 99 runs. He narrowly missed the coveted 3-digit score as the innings got over.
