Australia cricket team skipper Pat Cummins and his wife Becky have been blessed with their second child. The duo took to social media to announce the birth of their baby girl. The all-rounder is currently on a paternity leave and will miss the ongoing AUS vs SL series and Champions Trophy.

Meanwhile, Cummins has been ruled out of the ICC Champions Trophy. The all-rounder suffered an ankle injury towards the end of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. While there was uncertainty over his availability for the tournament, it has now been confirmed that he will miss the event. Steve Smith is expected to lead Australia in Cummins’ absence.
Australia have suffered multiple blows ahead of CT 2025. Along with Cummins, Josh Hazlewood has also been ruled out of the tournament. Marcus Stoinis sprung a surprise by announcing his sudden retirement from ODIs lesser than two weeks from the start of CT 2025. Mitchell Marsh, too, has been ruled out due to his lower back injury. The team now needs to find four replacements and the time is running out.
