Thakur who featured in the India vs SOuth Africa final game at Delhi, had to wait at the airport with his kit bag arriving late. The Indian all-rounder clearly miffed, sought the help of officals to sort the issue, invoking a funny response from former CSK teammate Harbhajan Singh. Shardul Thakur arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday morning from New Delhi having played his part in India’s 2-1 ODI series win over South Africa. The Mumbai all-rounder was part of India’s playing XI in the series finale against the Proteas at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday.

While Shardul did reach Mumbai, there was a delay with his kit bag. The situation clearly miffed the India pacer who claimed that it was not the first time that it had happened.

“Can you send someone to help me at the luggage belt ? Not the first time that my kit bags havent arrived and no staff present at the location either !! (sic),” Shardul said,

Shardul received an unlikely response as former CSK teammate Harbhajan Singh came up with a funny response to the all-rounder’s tweet. Harbhajan imitated an official response statement, saying: “My dear we will make sure you get your bag and our staff will be there to assist you.. sorry for the inconvenience.. (Ex Airindian Bhajji) we love you,” he added.

Shardul Thakur responded to Harbhajan’s message, saying he got the issue sorted at the Mumbai airport.

As per reports, Shardul Thakur has replaced Chahar and will be taking the flight to Australia alongside Mohammad Shami and Mohammed Siraj on Thursday. It is a dream come true for Shardul, who had recently expressed his disappointment of missing the World Cup.
