Shane Warne Funeral Updates: Warne’s very good friend & former England captain Michael Vaughan had also travelled for the event.
The event, held at his beloved St Kilda Football Club, saw every attendee receive a Saints scarf.
Family and friends also later finished the service with a lap of honour at St Kilda’s home ground, with Warne’s coffin carried around as Coldplay song ‘Fix You’ played.

“The reason why he was so loved is because he was fallible, he was Superman. You threw the ball to Warne, you sat in that Southern Stand and he did the things you dreamt of doing as a kid.
“He had the hat trick, took 700 wickets, the Gatting ball, he did everything.
“He did the things like wow, I wonder what it would be like to be a playboy in London society.”
“The magic part about Shane Warne was that he sprinkled his gold dust everywhere he went,” McGuire added. “He didn’t become a hermit, he brought his friends into everything in life.”

The state memorial on March 30th will be ticketed and live-streamed for those who can’t attend, with tickets to be made available to the public soon.
Given Warne’s popularity a ballot will be held to decide who gets a ticket.
Other cricket stadiums across the country will showcase the event on big screens – in both Sydney and Adelaide.
The memorial will also be live-streamed for the Australian public to pay homage to the all-time great.
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, a friend of Warne’s, and Ed Sheeran are expected to send video messages to be broadcast on screen at the MCG.
Around 100,000 people are expected to attend the twilight service at the MCG
