In an emotional interview, Young revealed that it was a great shock after she got to know about the death of the Australian cricketer. She revealed that Warne confessed to her that he was making plans for the future and claimed he knew what he wanted from his life.

“Everything was going well. He had booked three months off and was looking forward to spending time with his kids, who he adored. There was no hint of health worries. He thought he had 30 years left,” she said.

We talked about relationships and he seemed ready to find someone new. He never dwelt on his past. I remember at the end of the session, I asked, ‘Do you know what you want now?’.

“And he replied, ‘Yes, I’m happy’. I think he wanted three things from life — to remain close with his children, to settle down with someone and to play cricket. He was excited about the future.”

Young also said that Shane Warne was deeply hurt after being fat-shamed and trolled after he put on weight. As a result, Warne went on a particular 14-day juice diet to get back to his best of health and fitness.

She went on: “There were pictures of Shane out there that were not flattering. I know seeing those images would at times p*** him off. He was keen to get back to a healthy way of living.”
