Cricket is a strange game. While stranger things have happened previously in the game, but Pakistan Cricket Team created a World Record in PAK vs ENG 1st Test at Multan. A record the hosts won’t be too proud of. They became the first team to lose a Test match after scoring after scoring 550+ in the first innings.
Pakistan was handed a humiliating 47-run loss with an innings by the visitors. The hosts batted first and amassed 556 runs. In reply, the mighty England unleashed their fury. Harry Brook and Joe Root hammered Pakistan to help them register 823/7 before declaring the innings.
Plethora of Unwated Records
The hosts then fell like nine pins in their second innings. Trailing by 267, Pakistan lost 6 wickets on Day 4. And the English bowlers needed just 4 wickets on Day 5 to take the Test match. This was Shan Masood’s sixth Test match loss as the captain of his side. In fact, he became the first captain ever to lose six Test matches on a trot.
