India cricket team’s ace pacer Mohammed Shami has come out in support of fellow bowler Arshdeep Singh amid former Pakistan skipper’s Inzaman-ul-Haq’s bold claim. Haq had accused Arshdeep of tampering with the ball indirectly by asking the umpires to keep their eyes open for such spots during the T20 World Cup. Shami countered Inzaman’s claim, categorically stating that ‘cartoongiri is not good’.
Shami lambasts ex-Pakistan skipper
“\\Abhi ek aur namuna khod ke dia hai inhone. They said, ‘How can Arshdeep Singh get reverse swing?’ I want to say only one thing to Inzamam bhai. I respect him a lot. If you do the same thing, isn’t it ball-tampering? Those who do well against them, will be their target. India and Pakistan are arch-rivals,” Shami said on Shubhankar Mishra’s YouTube channel.
Ex-Pakistan star cries foul over India’s success
“Arshdeep Singh was able to reverse swing even in the 15th over. It is too early. It means that the ball was ready for reverse swing till the 13th over. The umpires should keep their eyes open here too,” Inzamam said to a local TV channel in Pakistan.
