‘Shame on BCCI’ Fans Fume as Sarfaraz Khan once again Ignored by Indian Selectors

With an outstanding record of 3505 runs in only 37 first-class matches at an average of 79.65, Sarfaraz Khan has showcased his remarkable talent.

Sarfaraz Khan must have felt disappointed after his name was not mentioned in the Indian Test squad for the upcoming fixtures against West Indies. To note, India will start its next WTC cycle by facing WI in a two-match Test series. Meanwhile, the fans on social media lambasted BCCI for ignoring Khan once again despite his excellent performances in the domestic circuit.

The BCCI’s decision to exclude Sarfaraz Khan from the Test squad, despite their impressive performances as consistent run-scorers in domestic red-ball cricket has not gone well with the fans. With an outstanding record of 3505 runs in only 37 first-class matches at an average of 79.65, Sarfaraz Khan has showcased his remarkable talent.

However, he was still ignored by the selectors. On the other hand, the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad have made their way into the Test squad. To note, both batters had an excellent run in the last IPL edition. On the other hand, Sarfaraz was certainly not in his best while playing for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023.

India’s Test squad: Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ajinkya Rahane (vice-captain), KS Bharat (wicket-keeper), Ishan Kishan (wicket-keeper), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Axar Patel, Mohd. Siraj, Mukesh Kumar, Jaydev Unadkat, Navdeep Saini.
