Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan has been accused of allegedly being involved in the murder of a garment factory worker. The complaint lodged against the cricketer comes amid Bangladesh’s ongoing series against Pakistan in which the former skipper is also a part of. A complaint was reportedly lodged against Shakib al Hasan and former PM Sheikh Hasina who fled the country weeks earlier.
Murder complaint against Shakib al Hasan
As per Bangladesh media houses, the complaint was lodged by the victim’s father. It is pertinent to note that Shakib was a part of the Awami League and was a member of the parliament. The government was dissolved after widespread turmoil and unrest in the country, forcing ex-PM Hasina to flee to India.
It is pertinent to note that Bangladesh are scheduled to tour India in September. With this new hurdle for Shakib, it remains to be seen if the all-rounder will be available for the series.

Shakib al Hasan joined the squad directly in Pakistan after taking part in GT20 in Canada earlier this month. The all-rounder was given permission to participate in the PAK vs BAN series by the interim government, as per reports.
At present, Shakib is in action in the PAK vs BAN 1st Test at Rawalpindi.
