Is there any tension brewing in the Pakistan cricket team? Well, star pacer Shaheen Afridi has addressed rumors of internal conflict within the Men in Green. The left-arm speedster has acknowledged that minor disagreements are inevitable, comparing it to occasional arguments among brothers.
Speaking on a podcasted hosted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Afridi downplayed any talks of any major tension within the group. “Sometimes, small disagreements happen in every family, even among brothers,” he said. However, he was quick to assure that such instances are inconsequential and do not affect team unity.
“There’s nothing like that in our team,” Afridi asserted. “Our players listen to each other, and we listen to them too. Our job is to play cricket and bring joy to our nation.”

Were there any tensions between Shaheen Afridi and Babar Azam?
Afridi’s comments come on the backdrop of reports of tension between him and captain Babar Azam, following Afridi’s short-lived stint as T20I captain. The team will be looking to put such whispers behind them as they embark on a crucial period leading up to the World Cup.
Their focus, according to Afridi, is on maintaining a united front. “Our aim is to play with unity,” he declared. “This is not the time for arguments or disputes; it’s the time for everyone to be on the same page.”
Pakistan will put their team spirit to the test in an upcoming four-match series against England starting on May 22nd. Their T20 World Cup campaign kicks off on June 6th with a match against the USA.
