The International Cricket Council (ICC) took to their social media accounts to post a picture of SRK with the WC trophy, which not to mention went viral pretty quickly. ICC captioned the post “King Khan & CWC Trophy… It’s nearly here …”
Shah Rukh Khan can be seen charmingly looking at the World Cup trophy, much like millions of Indian cricket fans and players who have set their sights on the game’s most coveted prize.
Fans were ecstatic when they saw the image of SRK.
“WORLD’S BIGGEST MOVIESTAR,” a social media user stated.
“FACE OF INDIAN CINEMA,” a fan wrote.

The fact that this year’s cricket extravaganza will be held on familiar home turf will give the Indians hope of bringing home the cherished trophy for the third time, following 1983 and 2011.

Opening match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, between defending champions England and runner-up New Zealand, is scheduled for October 5 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
This will be the largest Cricket World Cup ever, with ten nations competing over ten venues from October 5 to November 19, with the tournament opening and final taking place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The tournament will feature 48 matches spread out over 46 days.
India’s World Cup campaign will kick off on October 8 in Chennai against Australia.
Apart from Ahmedabad and Chennai, the other cities are Bengaluru, Delhi, Dharamsala, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Pune. India and Pakistan will face off in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 on October 15 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
