Melbourne Stars batter Sam Harper was hospitalized after coping a blow on his head during a practice session on January 5 (Friday). The training was called off immediately as the youngster was taken to the hospital immediately. However, the good news is that Sam Harper is in stable condition now.
Since the death of Phillip Hughes after being struck by a bouncer, the players and team staff take swift action on any injury which is related to the head. Similarly in Harper’s case, the Melbourne Stars camp took no time in shifting him to a nearby hospital.

Harper returned to the Stars team after having made his debut for the club in BBL|06. In the last edition, Harper scored 264 runs at an impressive strike rate of 141.87. However, he has failed to replicate his form in the ongoing BBL edition.
Speaking about his overall numbers in BBL, the right-handed batter has played 80 games and scored 1,470 runs at a strike rate of 132.91. Sam Harper averages 20.7 in Big Bash with 10 fifties to his name.
