To note, Shadab had already exchanged the vows with Saqlain’s daughter earlier on January 23. However, unlike other couples, Shadab did not share any photos of the marriage ceremony on his social media account. The leg-spinner on Thursday (February 9) uploaded a pic on his Instagram account where he is donning a sherwani as he informed his fans about the special day. Earlier, a video from the couple’s mehndi event amid the wedding festivities went viral on social media. It showed Pakistani pacer Hassan Ali’s wife Samyah Khan applying henna on Shadab’s hand. On January 23, Shadab announced his nikah with the daughter of his mentor.

“Alhamdulilah, today was my Nikkah. It is a big day in my life and start of a new chapter. Please respect my choices and those [of my] wife, and our families. Prayers and love for all,” he tweeted
In the statement, Shadab wrote, “Salam everyone. Alhamdulilah, today was my Nikkah. I am becoming part of mentor Saqi (Saqlain Mushtaq) bhai’s family. When I started playing cricket, I wanted to keep my family life separate, my wife has asked for the same, she wants her life to remain private. I would kindly request everyone to respect her choice and our family’s choice. However, if you want to send salami, I will send an account number.”

Shadab missed the last series which Pakistan played against NewZealand. The all-rounder had suffered an injury during his stint in the Big Bash League (BBL 2023). However, the all-rounder is expected to be fit during season eight of PSL which is due to start on February 13.
