Ahead of the blockbuster IND vs PAK clash in Ahmedabad, an image of the scorecard for the match is doing the rounds on the internet. The match, which will be the 8th installment of the India vs Pakistan rivalry in the ODI World Cup, will start at 2 PM IST on October 14. However, the image of the scorecard for the high-octane match was uploaded online almost a day before the match even started.
The image showed a Wikipedia page dedicated to the 12th match of the World Cup 2023. Shockingly, the image showed that India had won the clash by 97 runs.
Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli was awarded the ‘Player of the Match’ for his 119* off 83 balls. Meanwhile, Mohammed Siraj was India’s top performer with the ball (3/36).
India struck 334 in their quota of 50 overs, and in reply, Pakistan was shown to be skittled out for 234. Their wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan was shown as the highest scorer for his side (54 runs), while Shaheen Afridi was taken to the cleaners (2/84).
