India cricket team chief selector Ajit Agarkar is likely to attend the MI vs RR IPL 2024 clash at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. It is pertinent to note that the selectors will pick the squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 in the last week of April. The deadline for the teams to submit their list of the squad is May 1.

As per TOI, Ajit Agarkar may attend the clash between Hardik Pandya and co and Sanju Samson-led RR. This will provide an opportunity for stars like Samson to try and make their way into the T20 WC squad with a commendable performance. Meanwhile, it will also be a platform for other players to impress the chief selector in order to get a breakthrough into the national side.

Further, the 15-member Team India squad for the T20 World Cup will be picked in the last week of April, the source tells PTI. As per the source, the cut-off date for the teams to submit their list to ICC is on May 1. It is to be noted that every team will get a chance to change players in their initial squad till May 25.

The first batch of cricketers will leave for New York immediately after the end of the league stage of IPL on May 19. Those players, whose teams won’t qualify for the final four will be going early, like it happened during WTC finals last year,” a source tells PTI.
