Scotland eke out routine win against Namibia, top Group B with 3 points from two games

Chasing 156, the Scots reached the target with 5 wickets and 9 balls to spare.

Scotland on Friday prevailed over Namibia in a fairly easy chase to get back to winning ways in the T20 World Cup 2024 after their match against England was washed out in the opener. Courtesy of the win, Scotland temporarily moved to the top of Group B with 3 points from two games.

Scotland produce disciplined bowling performance

Namibia won the toss and chose to bat as skipper Gerhard Erasmus’s half century ensured Namibia reached their a respectable score of 155/9 in 20 overs. For Scotland, Brad Wheal took three wickets while Bradley Currie grabbed two in a disciplined bowling performance.

Namibia bowling line-up too easy to handle?

Chasing 156, Scotland rode on cameos from Michael Jones (26 off 20 balls), skipper Richie Berrington (47 off 35 balls) and Michael Leask (35 off 17 balls to make sure they reached their target without any major hiccups.
