Former Pakistan Cricket Team Sarfaraz Ahmed has opened up about a heartfelt conversation with MS Dhoni. Sarfaraz revealed that it was a perfect opportunity for him and his family to click the image with the former India Cricket Team captain.

Eight years later, the ICC Champions Trophy is back and this time Pakistan is the host of the tournament. Back in 2017, Sarfaraz and Co went on to beat India in the finals to lift the title beating India by 180 runs. He went on to become the first captain after Imran Khan to lift an ICC Trophy in the 50-over format of the game.

More than the game – Sarfaraz on his candid chat with MS Dhoni

Sarfaraz spoke about the picture of how MS Dhoni went on to hold his son Abdullah. “The moment happened when his family friends were visiting, and Dhoni happened to come downstairs. He thought it would be a perfect opportunity to capture the moment with my three-month-old son,” Sarfaraz told Cricket Pakistan.

“I had a long conversation with Dhoni about wicket-keeping and cricket in general. I asked him how he managed to balance his roles as a wicketkeeper, batsman, and captain. The tips Dhoni shared with me were immensely helpful. He was very humble and generous in offering his advice,” Sarfaraz said.

Sarfaraz revealed how he had a long conversation with MS Dhoni. He had asked the former India captain how the latter manages the duty as a keeper, captain, and as batsman.

India will take on Pakistan on 23rd February. The two arch-rivals will lock horns with each other in Dubai. “Whenever Indian and Pakistani players meet, there is always mutual respect and friendship, after matches it’s not uncommon to see players like Shoaib Malik, Yuvraj Singh, Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, and others sitting together, chatting and enjoying each other’s company,” Sarfaraz concluded.
