Pakistan cricket team batter Imam-ul-Haq offered an insight into the chaotic scenes in the dressing room. Pakistan, the hosts of ICC Champions Trophy 2025, have been knocked out of the tournament after losing to India and New Zealand. Following their exit, the leadership of captain Mohammad Rizwan and coach Aaqib Javed has come under scutiny. Now, Imam has spilt the beans on the infighting ensuing within the Pakistan camp.
Pakistan batter reveals infighting in dressing room
As per reports, Imam responded to a question on who was the leader in a podcast with Ultra Edge. He burst out into laughter and said who could he name when everyone was fighting with each other in the Pakistan team.
“Who shall I name as a leader? Sare ladh rahe hai aapas mein (Everyone’s fighting among themselves),” Imam said.

He then chose to name Rizwan as the leader. Shedding light on the Pakistan skipper’s role, the batter revealed that the former arranges hotel rooms and gathers everyone for prayers. He said that Rizwan lays out white sheets for “Namaz” while restriction non-Muslims from entering the halls during the prayer time. He said that the Pakistan captain even creates WhatsApp groups to communicate the schedules for the prayers.
“Rizzi (Rizwan) arranges hotel rooms to pray, gathers everyone for prayers, lays out white sheets for Namaz, restricts non-Muslims from entering, and even creates WhatsApp groups for prayer schedules,” he added.
Earlier, a report had claimed that all was not well between the captain and the coach. The report claimed that there was ego clashes between Rizwan and Javed. The two allegedly disagreed on squad selection, with Rizwan backing Khushdil Shah and Javed preferring Faheem Ashraf.
Pakistan is bracing for another shake-up after their dismal performance in Champions Trophy.
