Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson may not have been able to cement his place in the Indian cricket team, but his actions off the field continue to win over cricket fans. Samson’s trainer has disclosed that the 28-year-old spends 2 crores of his 15 crore income from the Indian Premier League on talented young cricketers.
“Sanju Samson gets around 15 crores, minimum 2 crores he helps domestic players & children who have lots of talent, more than Sanju the player, everyone wants Sanju the human to be successful and that is why he has lots of support,” the trainer said to Sports Vikatan.

The trainer went on to explain that he advised Sanju Samson to quit the Rajasthan Royals and go with a big league team, but he insisted that he would make the Rajasthan Royals big. “I told Sanju Samson to join some big teams in IPL after 2021 but he replied that I want to make Rajasthan Royals a big team, he further told that let’s bring big players like Ashwin, Chahal, Prasidh into the team. He has the vision”
The wicketkeeper-batter has excelled for both his national team and IPL squad, RR. Samson was given a couple chances in the ODI team and performed admirably, hitting 330 runs in 11 games at an average of 66, but the tough opposition and lack of 50-over cricket meant that he never received a long rope. T20 was the format in which Sanju might have thrived, but he was benched for his inability to perform.
Sanju Samson joined the Rajasthan Royals in 2013 and has since developed into one of the team’s most important players. He was given the charge of leading the team in 2021, and he took them to the final game the following year before losing against Gujarat Titans. However, in the IPL 2023 season, he was unable to lead his side to the playoff rounds.
