Sanju Samson and Rahul Dravid have reunited. With the India vs Bangladesh T20Is starting on October 6, Samson had decided to prepare himself for the white-ball series at the Rajasthan Royals High Performance Centre in Nagpur, and it was there they met. Although they worked together as recently as June, when Dravid’s tenure as India’s head coach ended, they last were seen in RR’s pink colour in 2015.
Dravid was Rajasthan’s captain when Samson made his IPL debut in 2013. He was with RR until 2015. In 2013 as their captain and then the remaining two years as their mentor. However, now that he’s been appointed as their head coach ahead of the IPL 2025 season, the duo have reunited once again.
Dravid gets Samson match ready
Dravid would aim to get Samson back on track. The wicketkeeper batter has been selected for Bangladesh T20Is, but his form hasn’t been great of late. His last two scores in T20s were ducks, and he’s still persisted with by the Indian management. Now, the onus is on Samson to prove that he’s here to stay by performing against the Tigers and ensuring he remains in the T20I setup.
