Sanju Samson has set a new record in the Indian Premier League (IPL), becoming the fastest Indian to reach 200 sixes. He achieved this milestone during the DC vs RR IPL 2024 match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Samson needed only 159 innings to hit his 200th six, surpassing MS Dhoni’s record, who reached the landmark in his 165th innings.

This impressive feat places Samson in elite company, joining the list of players who have hit 200 or more sixes in the IPL. Along with Samson and Dhoni, other notable players on this list include Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, David Warner, Kieron Pollard, and Andre Russell. Samson’s achievement adds another accolade to his career as he continues to shine for Rajasthan Royals.

In the match against DC, Sanju Samson reached the 200-six milestone by hitting Khaleel Ahmed over the ropes. The Royals were chasing a challenging target of 222 runs, and Samson, sitting at 199 sixes, took only six balls to achieve his 200th six. He also reached his half-century in just 28 balls, showcasing his explosive batting style.
