Kerala skipper Sanju Samson scored a half-century in Kerala’s Ranji Trophy 2024 match against Chhattisgarh on Friday. The wicketkeeper-batter remains unbeaten on 57 runs as Kerala are 219-4 at stumps on Day 1.
Sanju Samson chips in with handy half-century
Coming in to bat at number 5, Samson scored 57 runs off 71 deliveries, having scored nine boundaries in total. Sachin Baby was the star of the day for Kerala, having made 91 runs before he fell short of a well-deserved century. Rohan Prem (54) played a fighting knock but was unfortunately run out.
It was just prior to the start of the Ranji Trophy, that he slammed his maiden hundred in international cricket — in an ODI against South Africa, but failed to live up to the expectations in Ranji.
