Sanju Samson fans flood the stadium during Kerala vs UP Ranji Trophy 2024 match

Samson scored 35 in the first inning as Kerala made 243 runs.

Cricketers are no less than celebrities in India, and this was evident during the Kerala vs Uttar Pradesh match in the Ranji Trophy 2024. Sanju Samson may have received a call-up for the IND vs AFG T20I series earlier in the day, but that didn’t stop him from greeting his fans.

Sanju Samson is currently leading Kerala in the Ranji Trophy 2024 and took a moment to appreciate his fans after the end of play on Day 3 of the Kerala vs Uttar Pradesh match. The game is being played in his home state at the Sanatana Dharma College Ground in Alappuzha.

For the unaware, the Ranji Trophy 2024 started just a couple of days ago on January 5, with Kerala situated in Elite Group B alongside teams like Bengal, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Mumbai, Andhra, Assam, and Uttar Pradesh.

Kerala had failed to qualify for the Ranji Trophy quarterfinals last year. With their skipper and star batter going on to represent India in the IND vs AFG T20I series, the side can potentially face defeat in their next two matches against Assam and Mumbai.
