Sanju Samson’s delay in departure for T20 WC is because of ‘personal work in Dubai’

The first batch of Indian players, including captain Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, and others, have already departed for the USA.

Sanju Samson, the swashbuckling captain of the Rajasthan Royals, will be among a trio of Indian cricketers departing later than expected for the T20 World Cup in the USA. While the first contingent of players left on Saturday, Samson, along with Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya, will join the team at a later date.

Sanju Samson cites personal reasons

Kerala superstar Sanju Samson has informed the BCCI that his delayed departure is due to “personal work in Dubai.”

The Board has approved his request as per the Indian Express, allowing him to attend to these matters before joining the India Cricket Team in USA.

Virat Kohli on ‘Mini-Break’ post IPL 2024

Star batter Virat Kohli, fresh off his Orange Cap-winning performance in the IPL, will miss India’s only warm-up game against Bangladesh on June 1st due to a pre-approved mini-break. He is expected to fly out to New York on the morning of May 30th.
