Sanju Samson COMEBACK: Wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson has hinted at his return to Team India. The Kerala captain is making progress in his recuperation from a knee injury and could play cricket again soon. Samson has been sidelined since suffering a knee injury in the opening T20I matchup against Sri Lanka earlier this month. Earlier, Samson had also posted a video of himself going through training on his Insta story in what appeared to be a fitness test at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). Since the injury, Samson has been undergoing rehabilitation at the NCA.
The day following the injury incident, Samson had said that he was well, that it wasn’t a serious injury, and that he might return soon. Jitesh Sharma, the wicket-keeper batter for Vidarbha, took Samson’s place in the squad.

More Chances for Sanju Samson
Samson, who is not a member of the ODI or Test sides, will most likely play for India after the IPL, but the other injured members of the squad will probably return for the Test series. The Test squad for the Australia series included Ravindra Jadeja, who had a 7-star performance in the Ranji Trophy and is expected to be fully recovered in time for the important series.
Samson will have more opportunities to show off his skills now that Rishabh Pant will be out of the side for the foreseeable future, particularly in the T20 format. However, the untimely injury may hinder his chances of returning to the starting lineup, with players like Rahul Tripathi taking advantage of the opening.
