“I would like to retire from internationals and complete cricket once and for all, but right now I’m not even thinking about it, and I am enjoying my cricket whenever I get an opportunity, I do go and play. I have already retired from Tests and ODIs and T20s, yes, I’m still very much available, and wherever I get my opportunity I will give my best shot.”

Sania Mirza Shoaib Malik: Will Shoaib be selected for the Pakistan team for T20Is?
· Malik is keeping himself fit by playing various domestic T20 leagues.
· However, Pakistan selectors have chosen youth over experience in recent times.
· The result though has not yielded favorable results as Khushdil Shah, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Haider Ali have failed to show consistency.
· Malik with a huge amount of experience, will provide Pakistan with much-needed stability in the middle order.
· Malik also said that he has worked on his power hitting and is willing to play the role of finisher if the team wants.
“Well, when T20 started, I guess 130/140 runs were enough, and today even 220/230 runs are not enough when you are playing on a good track. So I guess the revolution has been there, and it changed a lot since T20 got started I guess as a cricketer it is your responsibility to stay a step ahead so you can compete at a higher level and be consistent at your own game,” he said.
Malik is currently playing Bangladesh Premier League, and will later take part in Pakistan Super League starting on February 13. Pakistan are due to play a five-match T20 series against New Zealand in April. If Malik shows the same amount of consistency, in PSL, then PCB will likely call the senior batter into the team.
