Ben Curran debut for Zimbabwe
Before making his debut in the Test format, Ben Curran recently made his debut in the ODI format. However, he had a horrible time in the 50-over format, registering scores of 15, 0 & 2. But he showcased the talent on his Test debut, playing many audacious strokes. In the domestic format, Ben Curran represents the Mid West Rhinos in first-class cricket.
Ben Curran is the first Curran to play Test cricket for Zimbabwe. His father, the late Kevin Curran, played 11 ODIs for the country but never got capped in the longest format. On the other hand, his brothers Sam Curran and Tom Curran have represented England in the international arena.
Sean Williams praises Ben Curran
Meanwhile, Zimbabwe veteran all-rounder Sean Williams praised Ben Curran’s intent in the recently completed ZIM vs AFG 1st Test match. “I think it’s huge. That intent and those partnerships going forward, it’s amazing,” Williams said. “The intent one batsman shows, allows the other batsman to score. It’s like, he ends up benefiting from your intent. And that’s what we want in the team.“
