Sachin Tendulkar Statue: Tendulkar to inspect and finalize the location of the statue at the Wankhede Stadium
Tendulkar visited the Wankhede Stadium along with his wife Anjali to finalize the location of the statue. The legendary batter also spoke with MCA President Amol Kale, who confirmed the announcement to the Indian Express.
“It will be the first statue in Wankhede Stadium, we will decide where it will be placed,” he said.

“He (Tendulkar) is a Bharat Ratna and everyone knows what he has done for cricket. As he turns 50, it will be a small token of appreciation from the MCA. I spoke to him three weeks ago and his consent was received,” Kale said.
Tendulkar represented India in 200 Test matches, 463 ODIs, and one T20. In terms of runs scored in international cricket, he has the most runs (34,357) and hundreds (100).

In stadiums across the nation, there aren’t many life-size sculptures of cricket players. At the Holkar Stadium in Indore, the VDCA Stadium in Andhra Pradesh, and the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, there are three different statues of the former big-hitting Indian great C K Nayudu.
Some players have wax sculptures and stands named for them in their respective state associations.
