Why Sachin Tendulkar did not watch one of India’s greatest ever T20I victory

Sachin Tendulkar wowed fans with his return to the cricket field, but that came at a cost. The Master Blaster missed out on India's thrilling T20I victory in Bengaluru.

Indian great Sachin Tendulkar took the field for a charity match in Karnataka on Thursday. Playing for a noble humanitarian cause, ‘Sri Madhusudan Sai Global Humanitarian Mission’, Tendulkar, along with former teammates like Yuvraj Singh and Mohammed Kaif.

Leading the One World team against Yuvraj Singh’s One Family, Sachin Tendulkar scored 27 runs and claimed one wicket as his side won by 4 wickets.

However, the Master Blaster missed the IND vs AFG 3rd T20I in the process. The thriller final encounter of the series saw the two sides play two super overs as skipper Rohit Sharma roared back after two successive failures and scored a magnificent ton.

Posting images of the charity matches, Sachin Tendulkar congratulated Rohit and Team India, writing:

“Amidst this, I missed the thrilling #INDvAFG T20 clash and Rohit Sharma’s brilliant century. A big congratulations to #TeamIndia for their 3-0 series sweep.”
