IPL 2025: MI’s pacer Boult brought a touch of humor as he joined their camp for IPL 2025, jokingly asking, “Sab theek hai?” in a video shared by the franchise on their social media. The veteran New Zealand bowler was all smiles upon learning he was being taken to meet the ‘main man’. WATCH

Boult, a key figure in Mumbai Indians‘ IPL 2020 triumph in the UAE, was released by the Rajasthan Royals ahead of the 2025 season. Capitalizing on the opportunity, the five-time champions secured his services for a substantial Rs 12.50 crore. The 35-year-old delivered a stellar performance in IPL 2020, finishing as the third-highest wicket-taker with 25 dismissals in 15 games at an average of 18.28. He also claimed the Player of the Match award in the final, thanks to his impressive spell of 4-0-30-3.
Last year was a challenging season for the five-time champions as they ended at the bottom of the IPL standings, managing only four wins in 14 matches. Despite the disappointing performance, the franchise has shown faith in all-rounder Hardik Pandya, retaining him as captain. However, they have made a key change in their coaching setup, replacing Mark Boucher with Mahela Jayawardene.
The team has also made a couple of adjustments due to injuries, bringing in Corbin Bosch as a replacement for Lizaad Williams and Mujeeb Ur Rahman in place of Allah Ghazanfar. Mumbai Indians are set to kick off their IPL 2025 campaign on March 23 against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium.
