The third edition of the SA20 2025 is set to begin on January 9, with the defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape set to take on the MI Cape Town in the tournament opener. In a spectacular display of cricketing prowess at Newlands, Sunrisers Eastern Cape clinched their consecutive SA20 titles with a resounding 89-run victory over Durban’s Super Giants. Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Sunrisers showcased a commanding performance, posting a formidable total of 204 for 3 on the scoreboard. In reply, Durban Super Giants put up a good show, but it was not enough to stop the Sunrisers Eastern Cape from winning their second SA20 title.
