All franchises in the SA20 are owned by Indian Premier League teams. Delhi Capitals’ owners JSW Group have the Pretoria Capitals, while Rajasthan Royals took up Paarl as their host city. Johannesburg became Joburg Super Kings after India Cements, with Mumbai Indians buying the Cape Town franchise. The Sanjiv Goenka group bought the Durban team, while Sun TV purchased the Gqeberha franchise.

Logos of the Team:
The logos of the teams are exactly like that of the IPL teams. Teams have only made a subtle change to their existing IPL logos for the tournament. All teams have retained their IPL logo crest, changing just the name to retain the brand value for the tournament.
Jerseys of the Team:
Like the logos, the jerseys are also a similar match. Like RR, Paarl Royals are set to sport bright pink. Joburg have taken up CSK’s customary yellow including the lion roar. MI Cape Town has opted for a different shirt than the Mumbai Indians, going back to their kit designs from the early IPL years. Pretoria and Durban have opted for a completely new design.
