SA20 Auction LIVE: There is huge buzz when it comes to the upcoming SA20 auction on September 19 in Cape Town. A number of players from around the world having added their name to the list. But there is no guarantee that all the 533 players will be in the final list of the auction pool. The final list is only going to be prepared by the Cricket South Africa, who will hear from the teams about their wish list before making the final pool.

However, big names of the shorter format are surely going to be in huge demand, which makes it interesting. A proven performer like Morgan will be on radar of many team or for that case an all-rounder like David Willey.

But that is the cream layer of players. IN order to constitute a proper team, they need to have players with different skill set. It is at this juncture that other players in the auction pool will come in demand.

Of the 500-odd players list, as expected more than half are from South Africa. Among those, Dean Elgar, Keshav Maharaj, Rassie van der Dussen, Tabraiz Hamsi and others will be in great demand. They have priced themselves at 850,000 ($49,000 approx.).

Recently retired cricketer, Ross Taylor have also listed himself at 850,000 ($49,000 approx.). The others in the list include, Dhananjaya de Silva, Craig Overton, Carlos Brathwaite among others.

NO India and Pakistan players in auction pool: There is no player from India and Pakistan in the auction pool for obvious reasons. All the six teams in the league are owned by Indian Premier League owners, who have not picked any player from the country in the cash-rich league.

Coming to Indian players, the BCCI are quite strict in regards to their policy. They do not allow Indian players to feature in such kind of overseas franchise leagues. As of now, the men’s cricketers only ply their trade in the IPL.
