T20 World Cup – SA Playing XI vs WI: Both South Africa and West Indies had a poor outing with the bat in their respective openers and thus faced a defeat. Both teams were asked to bat first & set the total & both struggled to do that. While South Africa did manage a respectable total of 118 runs against Australia, defending champions skittled for just 55 runs against England. Moreover, the two teams will be hoping for a better day with the bat when they square off in a Super 12 match of the T20 World Cup on Tuesday in Dubai. SA Playing XI vs WI: A ‘robust batting line up’ in priority as both South Africa and Windies eye their first win
South Africa’s out-of-form middle order: South Africa’s main problem in batting is their heavy top order. With Q de Kock, Temba Bavuma, and R van der Dussen in the top three, Proteas has a formidable top order. However, with H Klassen and D Miller out of form, Aiden Markram at number 04 has to absorb too much pressure. And often, South Africa has been seen unable to overcome the loss of early wickets.

Rassie van der Dussen & Aiden Markram have looked so far in the tournament but they need support from the other batters in the line up too. The form of David Miller would be another concern for the Proteas side going forward into the tournament.
It’s high time for Quinton De Kock to start firing soon. The opening batter hasn’t managed a single double-digit score in three outings so far, including the two warmup matches. De Kock has managed scores of 7 & 6 in two warmup matches & departed cheaply at 7 against Australia in the opening fixture.
While there are no such injury concerns in the side, Temba Bavuma might feature with the same playing11 against the defending champions.
South Africa Probable playing XI vs WI:
Quinton de Kock (wk), Temba Bavuma (c), Aiden Markram, Rassie van der Dussen, David Miller, Heinrich Klaasen, Dwaine Pretorius, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Tabraiz Shamsi

T20 World Cup: Windies’ batting woes: On the other hand, the major problem with Kieron Pollard’s side was the approach of the batters. Windies batters looked too aggressive in their approach and tried going for big shots on a surface which does require some patience. Most of the power hitters in the Windies batting lineup lost their wicket trying to hit boundaries and didn’t care to rotate the strike and build a partnership. As a result, none of the batters managed to reach double digits except for Chris Gayle.
The shoddy execution along with the amount of recklessness shown needs to be fixed quickly or the defending champions may find it difficult to advance into the semis.

It was surely a day to forget for West Indies, but they quickly need to fix the issues and bounce back stronger. They lost their both warmup games and the reason for that too is their lackluster batting. Windies hasn’t managed to cross 135 runs mark in three outings so far, two in warmup and one against England.
Windies Probable Playing XI vs SA –
Evin Lewis, Lendl Simmons, Chris Gayle, Shimron Hetmyer, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Kieron Pollard (c), Andre Russell, Dwayne Bravo, Akeal Hosein, Obed McCoy, Ravi Rampaul
