SA Playing XI vs India: IND vs SA LIVE: Taking positives from their massive win over Bangladesh, SouthAfrica will bank on an unchanged playing XI vs India. The mega clash against India at the Perth Stadium on Sunday could very well decide the two semifinalists from Super 12 Group 2. SouthAfrica will, however, be spoilt for choices in their pace department. The likes of premier fast bowlers Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Wayne Parnell, Lungi Ngidi along with rising pacer Marco Jansen in the setup. Jansen in particular could make it to the Playing XI as India have struggled against the youngster. Follow India vs SouthAfrica LIVE & ICC T20 World Cup 2022 LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN.

Rabada and Nortje will continue to lead the pace attack for SouthAfrica. But it’s Wayne Parnell who is likely to get the go-ahead in Perth. The left-arm fast bowler, who was the first Koplak player to return to the South Africa ODI squad in 2021, gave away mere six runs off his two overs while scalping a wicket against Zimbabwe. However, there could be a place for Marco Jansen. As Tabraiz Shamsi has struggled against India of late, Temba Bavuma maybe tempted to give Jansen a go.

SA Playing XI vs India: What to expect from South Africa line-up?

  • In the batting department, Quinton de Kock and Rilee Rossouw have looked in good touch and will look to carry on the momentum.
  • De Kock smashed unbeaten 47 off 18 deliveries in the washed out game against Zimbabwe.
  • he also notched up a quickfire 63 (38) while Rilee Rossouw smashed 109 off 56 deliveries in their emphatic win vs Bangladesh.
  • But both opponents were mediocre compared to who they face next.
  • SouthAfrica were battered in India not so long ago before WC and would be wary of the threat India possess.
  • Arshdeep Singh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar with their swing have troubled SA.
  • De Kock too did not enjoy a great run in the ODI series against India.
  • But considering De Kock’s record against India, he could be a massive threat.
  • The 4th seam option could be between Marco Jansen and Lungi Ngidi.
  • Although Ngidi brings in his pace, he tends to be more expensive. Jansen has been very effective against India so far.
  • As for Tabraiz Shamsi, he could get the go considering Perth wicket slightly helping the spinners in the last few games.
  • Glenn Maxwell, Sikandar Raza and Dhananjaya De Silva have all benefited from the Perth pitch.

In the batting department, the only problem for Proteas is captain Temba Bavuma. He has been terribly out of form. But considering he is the captain, he will keep his place. But it might be a better idea to drop him to middle-order for an able opener. Bavuma with his form is the only weaklink in SA team.
