Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad scripted history on Sunday against MI. Gaikwad became the fastest Indian player to score 2000 runs in IPL. He went past previous record holder KL Rahul as he wreaked havoc on MI bowlers.

Rachin Ravindra and Ruturaj Gaikwad stitched together a 50-run partnership before Shreyas Gopal put the breaks on the duo. The spinner got rid of Rachin Ravindra, thereby bringing Shivam Dube out to bat.
Dube and Gaikwad slammed half-centuries each as CSK went past the 150 run-mark.
