It seems ‘Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo’, days are coming back for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the upcoming IPL 2024 season as their star all-rounder Andra Russell has returned to his explosive best in the AUS vs WI 3rd T20I on Tuesday.
It was a vintage Russell on display as he slammed 71 runs off 29 balls at a strike rate of 244.83. His blistering knock included 7 sixes and 4 boundaries.
Russell came in when West Indies were reeling at 79-5. He then unleashed himself and stitched a 141-run partnership with Sherfane Rutherford (67) for the sixth wicket to power the visitors to 220.
Russell’s return to form comes as a good news for the KKR franchise who struggled last year with Russell’s poor form.
