The match will be remembered for a long time due to RR’s dominance in all three departments. Chahal established himself as the IPL’s top wicket-taker before finishing a fantastic 4/25, as RR held KKR to a disappointing 149/8. The quickest fifty in history of IPL was recorded by 21-year-old Jaiswal on a day when KKR batters had trouble timing the ball.
The left-handed batter broke the previous record held by Pat Cummins and KL Rahul (14 balls apiece). The Mumbaikar entered the middle to finish the small run chase quickly. With his 98 from 47 balls, which included 12 fours and five sixes, Jaiswal came within two runs of a century and made the run chase appear easy as RR cruised to victory in just 13.1 overs.
