RR vs DC: Delhi Capitals’ stand-in captain David Warner had a disappointing outing against Rajasthan Royals at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Saturday. He registered his fourth slowest fifty in 44 balls against the Royals, and it was a painstaking inning to say the least. Warner scored 65 runs in 55 balls at a strike rate of 118.18 when his side was chasing 200 runs to win against Rajasthan. The southpaw’s inning included seven boundaries, and though his stay lasted for 102 minutes, Warner’s inning was one of the slowest he has played in his IPL career. This is not the first time Warner has registered a slow half-century in his IPL career. The following list proves the claim. Follow Indian Premier League LIVE updates with InsideSport.IN

Warner’s slowest IPL knock has come in the last few years. In 2021, the Australian opener hit a half-century in as many balls against the Chennai Super Kings. Warner’s next two slowest half centuries came against the Punjab franchise in 2019 and 2017, in 49 and 44 balls, respectively.

Although Delhi Capitals lost the match with a huge margin, David Warner amassed an impressive record too. The Australian southpaw is the only foreign player in IPL history to have scored 6,000 runs or more. The DC skipper is also the third-highest run scorer in tournament history after Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Virat Kohli and Punjab Kings’ Shikhar Dhawan.
