RR vs CSK: RR skipper Samson wins hearts with this adorable gesture ahead of the crunch clash against CSK
This is not the first time Samson has won hearts off the field of fans. Ahead of the IPL 2023 season, the wicketkeeper batter paid tribute to Sawai Mansingh Stadium ground staff by giving them RR jerseys. In a heartwarming video shared by the Royals’ Twitter page Samson said groundsmen are the real heroes as they have been taking care of pitches and giving all their love to players.
“At Royals, we believe that the firsts are very important. So I think this season myself and the whole management have decided that we give our first jersey of the season to the groundsmen. And I just wanted to thank them for all the care that they have given us,” skipper Sanju Samson said in the video.
RR vs CSK: Sanju Samson-led RR aim to get back to winning ways against resurgent CSK
RR are coming off a defeat in their last game against RCB and will now look to bounce back against CSK, who have won three games on the bounce. The MS Dhoni-led side are current table toppers with five wins from seven games. RR are currently third on the points table with eight points. Both these teams have met once in IPL 2023 season, with RR winning the game at Chepauk Stadium.
