It was simply not their day in the previous game against Mumbai Indians. Fair and Square, RR lost the game to a better team despite amassing a huge total on the board. There is nothing to tweak as far as the batting areas are concerned. But the bowling department has improved.

Jos Buttler will continue to open proceedings with Yashasvi Jaiswal. The youngster hammered a stunning maiden IPL century in the previous game against Mumbai Indians. Down the order Sanju Samson, Shimron Hetmyer and Devdutt Padikkal will aim to anchor the innings. Young Dhruv Jurel will continue to get an extended run owing to his finishing skills.

Ravichandran Ashwin has already put his name in the record books for the most wickets taken in the Indian Premier League. Trent Boult who returned from injury will spearhead the pace attack with Sandeep Sharma. Yuzvendra Chahal will partner Ashwin in the spin department.

Now the question that will continue to fret Sanju Samson is the choice between Jason Holder and Adam Zampa. In the previous game, Holder was hit for three back-to-back sixes as Tim David guided his side to victory in the last over. However, since the Sawaiman Singh Stadium provides a slow surface that can assist the spinners, Samson will be tempted to bring in an extra spin option with the likes of Adam Zampa in place of Holder.
