RR Playing XI vs CSK IPL 2021: Chris Morris likely to be replaced by Oshane Thomas, Will Shreyas Gopal get a game? – Rajasthan Royals will face Chennai Super Kings in their next encounter here at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi on Saturday. This will be the second game of the doubleheader. Rajasthan is coming into this game after facing a defeat against Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore while MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings became the first team in IPL 2021 to qualify for the playoffs. RR have three games in hand and if they want to qualify for the playoffs they need to win all three remaining matches and still wait for the other team results to go in their favour. RR’s experience player Chris Morris has failed to put up a good show in the IPL 2021 phase 2. Thus the RR team mangement can rest him while Oshane Thomas can get a game. Rahul Tewatiya has also failed with the bat and ball thus he can be replaced by Shreyas Gopal against CSK.

We at Insidesport will take you through probable playing XI for RR vs CSK in IPL 2021.

RR Playing XI

Openers – West Indies’ Evin Lewis and India’s young Yashasvi Jaiswal gave RR a solid start in the last few games. So, it is most likely that RR team management will continue with them. However, they have an option of bringing up Liam Livingstone as he has failed to put up good scores batting in the middle order.

Middle Order – Captain Sanju Samson will continue to bat at number three as he has been very successful with the bat in this season as he is among the top run-scorers of the season. Liam Livingstone at number 4 will have to perform better than what he is doing right now if RR want to qualify for the playoffs by winning all three remaining games. Mahipal Lomror will look to play a big innings as he has played few cameos in this season.

Spinners – Shreyas Gopal and Riyan Parag will form the spin bowling attack for RR. Shreyas Gopal is yet to get a game in this season while Riyan Parag has not performed up to the mark in this IPL. Rahul Tewatiya will have to make way for Gopal in the game against CSK.

Pacers – Chris Morris has been the worst performer for RR in the IPL 2021 phase 2. As he failed to take wickets with the ball and leaked runs as well. His batting form has also gone south in the UAE leg. He could be replaced by Oshane Thomas. Chetan Sakariya, Mustafizur Rahman and Kartik Tyagi will be the other pace bowling option.
