Rajasthan Royals are already set to lose their ace wicketkeeper batter, Jason Buttler, on May 19, and now they may lose another wicketkeeper, Dhruv Jurel. The keeper hasn’t had the opportunity to don the gloves in the IPL 2024 season, and his returns from the bat have been slim.
As if the season wasn’t going bad for him already, Jurel has now suffered an injury as well. Fielding at the long-on boundary in the ninth over of the first inning, he tried to stop a boundary and seemed to have injured his hamstring. He sat near the boundary for a while and was taken off the pitch soon.

Dhruv Jurel’s IPL 2024 performance
If not for one fifty and his two not-out scores, Jurel’s record in the ongoing IPL season would have been even worse. Considering they already had Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson as the two first-choice wicketkeepers, he was never going to don the gloves. That put him under more pressure with the bat, and his results were incredibly poor by his standards.
