As the 2013 winners and 2002 co-winners, it’s fair to say that in 2017, they came close again, but India fell short of crossing the final line. Otherwise, it would have been three Champions Trophy titles in India’s cabinet. Speaking about two veterans, Ravindra Jadeja and Rohit Sharma, who were part of both the 2013 Champions Trophy and 2017 editions, they shared happy memories of beating England in a thrilling final in 2013.
However, in 2017, they suffered a defeat against Pakistan in a shocking final. Recently, just before the official photoshoot session, they got together on their way to the venue and tried to recall how many ICC tournaments they had been a part of.

In the recently released video by BCCI titled “ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Content Day BTS ft. Team India,” Rohit and Jadeja were seen discussing how many official photoshoots they have participated in. As usual, there was a funny moment with Rohit Sharma trying to remember all the ICC tournaments he’s played in and how many official photoshoots he’s been part of. Rohit listed his appearances in multiple ICC events like the T20 World Cup, ODI World Cup, and Champions Trophy, and even remembered his two ICC WTC Championship final appearances. In total, he mentioned being part of 17 official photoshoots, including the one for the upcoming Champions Trophy.

Speaking to Shubman Gill, Jadeja asked the same question. Gill said this would be his 5th photoshoot. On the other hand, when the India vice-captain was asked the same question, Jadeja playfully said, ‘Mere bhi 15+ ho gaye hain’ – mine also has more than 15, just like Rohit.

When it comes to tournaments like this, all eyes are surely going to be on some big names who are expected to perform well in the upcoming editions.
