The booing and the chanting against Hardik Pandya resumes once again, this time in Sri Lanka, after a brief pause during the T20 World Cup

After what was a brief pause between the IPL 2024 and the T20 World Cup, a section of fans have resorted to mocking and booing Hardik Pandya again. The all-rounder has been in the eye of the storm since he replaced Rohit Sharma as the Mumbai Indians skipper in December 2023.

After being booed across venues during the IPL, Pandya had some respite, owing to his all-round heroics in the T20 WC. It looks like the chants and the boos are back to haunt Hardik once again.

The incident occurred as Pandya was heading out to bat in the 1st IND vs SL T20I on Saturday. In videos that emerged on social media, a section of fans were seen shouting ‘Rohit Rohit’ as the all-rounder walked out to the middle.
