Rohit Sharma spotted at Jamnagar alongside family and teammates for break ahead of MI vs DC

Mumbai Indians have slumped down to the last spot in the IPL 2024 after losing all three of their games

Following a disappointing start to the IPL 2024 season, MI has opted for a planned break in Jamnagar before their next encounter against DC. Former captain Rohit Sharma was spotted arriving at Jamnagar alongside his family.

A fan’s video on X platform captured Rohit Sharma and his family arriving in Jamnagar for the break. Recent social media posts by MI hinted at the team’s excursion before the DC match. Notably, a video revealed Ishan Kishan donning a superhero costume, serving as punishment for tardiness in a team meeting.

Rohit Sharma’s unwanted record in IPL 2024 for MI:

In the home game against Rajasthan Royals at Wankhede Stadium, Rohit Sharma faced an unfortunate moment as he added another duck to his IPL record. Facing Rajasthan Royals’ pacer Trent Boult, the former Mumbai Indians captain fell for a golden duck for the first time in his IPL career.

Struggling to handle the scrambled seam, the ball edged off Rohit’s bat, resulting in a catch behind the stumps by the RR captain. This incident led Rohit to surpass Sunil Narine, Mandeep Singh, and Dinesh Karthik in the tally for the most ducks in the IPL, with a total of 17 to his name.

With three consecutive losses, the five-time IPL champions are eager to rejuvenate and regain momentum for their upcoming clash at the Wankhede Stadium on April 7 against DC. This match marks the second of their four-match home series, culminating in a high-profile showdown against CSK on April 14.
